Summer in Shanghai is not a freaking joke! It was about 37˚C on this day we ventured out to L’Avenue in Shanghai. Like 37˚C with NO clouds and just straight sun beating down on us. Normally most people would be in love with the sun but everyone in SH (and HK and Singapore and everywhere else in South East Asia) knows that heat + sun = hot hot sweaty humidity. Growing up in Asia, every summer the heat and humidity hit you like a hot wet towel (gross) and you’ll never get used to it.

Lucky for us, Asians love their MALLS. Last weekend we decided to check out the LVMH-owned mall L’Avenue since we hadn’t been in a while and no surprise, nothing much had changed. This is one of the few malls that has COS so just did a little browsing and proceeded to spend at least 30-45 minutes at Sephora while Jason waited outside :/ whoops. Picked up a few things from this new brand called Marie Dalgar that I’m now obsessed with thanks to Georgina!! I am such a die-hard fan of the MAC Liquid Last eyeliner but this new MD eyeliner is creeping up fast on the greatest hits list. It’s really long-wear (maybe not as long as the MAC tho) and the product is so liquid-y so it glides on so easily. I was surprised when I found out it was a China brand but I’m really confident in the brand because the quality is super high-grade and was founded by one of China’s most famous and international-renowned make-up artists.

P.S. How gucci are my new sunglasses? They’re Gucci 😉 lol. I love them SO much and surprisingly are one of the only tortoise shell acetate sunnies that I have and will be surely on high-rotation 😎 Seems like I’m never not adding to my sunglasses collection/obsession!
