I’m sure everyone’s seen a million photos from the Lane Crawford Shanghai grand opening by now but here’s my version anyway! After a disgusting 3 hour delay at Hong Kong airport (and some unexpected shopping as documented here), I arrived back home in Shanghai and basically rushed to get ready for the Lane Crawford opening that night. I had this whole other outfit planned in my head but all this last minute indecisiveness resulted in this typical Denise outfit: grandma A-Line skirt, tshirt and a jacket with a cross-body bag for optimal arm usage/drink holding. The LC opening was fun and it was good to see some Hong Kong LC friends in Shanghai. The new store is ginormous so if you haven’t already, I suggest you check it out..but perhaps tbh, save your shopping for Hong Kong or New York where prices are muuuuch lower O_o. The store itself has great VM and mimics the IFC Lane Crawford in Hong Kong but with a much better buy here, imo. Well done to everyone at LC for putting the party together and for FINALLY opening in Shanghai!
So a little focus on my new leather jacket..I have been on the hunt lately for the perfect moto jacket. I love my classic Zara one that I normally wear to death every winter (and it has actually lasted me since 2009!) but I was looking for something with a more classic actual Moto style. I was all set, decided on the ACNE Mape leather jacket or Mape shearling collar leather jacket but my plans had fallen through and unfortunately I couldn’t get either anymore. Feeling sad and defeated, it was such a happy surprise when my friends from eco online shop A Boy Named Sue sent over the beautiful The Sway Roma leather jacket! The fact that this was the perfect fit and style for me and that the jacket is made from reclaimed leather handmade in a certified sustainable factory in Pakistan, made me instantly fall in love. Looking good and doing good for the environment is always 100% yes in my books.
The infamous Bumbys, “performance artists” from NY! The line was unfortunately too long and they closed up shop really early that I missed my chance for an honest appraisal.
