22nd May, 2010

H&M polka dot jumper rumper, Esprit old parka, Prada flats, Miu Miu bag and F21 sunglasses.

Mom’s silver dragon cuff, Tag Heuer watch, Silver middle ring and H&M index ring.

Few Saturdays ago I spent the day with ninz around our favourite shopping place, Causeway Bay. We walked and window-shopped forever and ended up getting matching sandals for Summer :D I finally got to wear out my Forever 21 sunglasses (the A.Wang inspired ones) that Lynn managed to help me get from Singapore (yay!) and wore out my new polka dot jumpah rumpah (which is what my mom calls a rhomper and thus what I shall forever onwards call a rhomper). Lately I’ve been falling for everything polka dot and have my eye on a million and one new things that I want (uhh what’s new huh?). I’m so glad May is already almost over..before we know it, my next paycheque will be ready for me to deposit :D

Me and shinaninooniez.

Browsing through Izzue always ends with a snack from Sogo. Normally I hate bananas. I hate their smell, I hate the taste and I definitely deteste the mushiness. BUTTTTTTTT, bananas plus Nutella in a crepe? The ONLY time I’ll eat real bananas.

Of course Nanz the piglet had to also get a peach mochi from Mochi Cream.

My funny little mother.

Way back on Mother’s Day, we took ma mere out to lunch at Agnes B Le Pain Grille on Leighton Road. We absolutely LOVE Agnes B LPG Cafe so taking mother nature out to the actual restaurant was a must.

Just as a side note, the lunchset was $198HK for an appetizer/soup + main + tea/coffee + one of Agnes B signature cakes/pastries. SO freaking worth it!! We were all stuffed to the brim and fully fully satisfied.

The cute little French-like interior was a great setting for us. It’s just so cosy and homey in there. Of course our table (out of only about 10-ish tables) was the loudest and everyone would look at us when we all burst out laughing like we owned the place. We also managed to stay there for like 3 hours!

LOL mom’s the best. My brother was like “no mom, noo, you have to do the GANGSTAH pose like this!”

and of course she did it hahahahahahahaha

Now for the food. The warm little bread rolls were so amazing. They had the classic Agnes B icons baked onto them. And of course, in true Lai form, we managed to rip through about 4 of these bread baskets.

Skipping rigghhtt past my soup (Cream of Broccoli) straight to my STEAK. I had the Grilled Prime Rib Eye topped with Café de Paris with roasted potatos and veggies.

Lulz my poopie shaped dollop of Café de Paris on top of my medium-rare steak :D

Mariage Fr̬res Marco Polo tea Рmy absolutely most favourite tea <3

Mom’s cake slicem forgot what flavour it was.

All done :D

And for her gift, we bought her a big box of macarons from Jean-Paul Hévin

I forget…I think it was Caramel?

And lastly, to everyone who thought Obi was soooooo cute: clearly, it’s not all the time:

I love how you disappear for like a month but come back with all these things you’ve done during the time and my favorite – the food porn! :) Those macaroons are too amazing. I want to go and make some but alas, I doubt it will ever come close to something as pretty as those.

Your Mom is legit cool.

I always wanted to try that cafe but too bad, now I’m no longer in HK! Anyways, your hair in these pics..did you re-dye it back to brown? What happened to black? Or was that a long time ago? Sorry, I’m new to your blog but very much loving it all.

I wanted to visit that Agnes B cafe too! It was the itinerary but it was closed by the time we got there… or something, I can’t remember now. I actually like how clean your plate of steak was, altho in real life I would want to see it swimming in sauce but strangely it translated really nicely in your photos. Also, I bet your mom’s a tonne of fun, so sporting!!
