THE BEATLES YAKITORI
09th April, 2013

DETAILS:
Barbour Bedale jacket, COS sweater, 7 For all Mankind boyfriend jeans, Converse x Missoni Auckland Racers and Pour La Victoire Marcelle bag.

Been counting down til the days when Jason returns from his epic US trip. He’s been gone for over 3 weeks now and it le sucks! Lucky for me, we had a mid-trip meetup in New York! I just got back last night and am still kind of jetlagged, at least my stomach is as it still thinks it’s lunchtime when it’s actually bedtime =___= Anyway before leaving on this feels-like-forever trip, we had our last dinner at one of my favourite restaurants in Shanghai: Kota’s Kitchen (Beatles Yakitori). This was one of the first restaurants we ever went to in SH and it’s so so so so good. I mean you all know how much I LOVE The Beatles and that mixed with super yum Japanese yakitori? PERFECT! We’re lucky too, 2 out of the 3 times that we’ve been there, the live band were there performing some sweet Beatles jams, apparently this doesn’t happen too often!

Decided to dress comfy for our last meal so I threw on my new favourite go-to whatever jeans: the 7 for all mankind distressed boyfriend jeans. These are actually my first pair of boyfriend jeans ever and regret never getting a pair earlier since they’re so damn comfy and forgiving haha. I mean there are borderline issues with looking stumpy and short but as long as I feel comfortable in them and my man thinks I look okay then I’m all good with everything else. I did test these out with a pair of summer platform wedges and they look just as good and make me look so much taller haha. They would also go so well with a pair of simple pumps but unfortunately, I don’t even own a pair!

DYING these chicken wings are so good.

THE best dish ever: grilled camembert cheese on grilled avocado (you have to order the cheese and avo separately though)

“Baked” potato with salt and butter

Warm mushroom salad
